Oh my god pastaaaaaaaaaa. This is so good, and crazy easy and fast. Could this get any better? I believe this whole recipe website endeavor is enlightening to the fact that pasta may just be my staple food. I’m not mad. This meal takes about as long to make as it takes to boil noodles.
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sweet onion diced small
- 1 pound large washed peeled and deveined raw uncooked shrimp
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes or to taste
- 1 lbs hot cooked spaghetti
-
In saute pan heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, sprinkle with salt and cook until tender.
-
Add butter to pan and melt. Add shrimp to pan. Cook until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through and water evaporates 3 - 5 minutes. Add red pepper, stir.
-
Add hot spaghetti rice to pan and toss. Serve with a great crusty bread and perhaps a glass of Pino Grigio
Spring is coming and I’m all for that, but here in MN we still are in that middle ground of spring where it’s 40 degrees. We are just being teased with the warm weather, like a taste of what’s ahead. So in the mean time you cannot judge me over my love of comfort foods. Besides it’s Thursday and so we need a little help getting us to the weekend. The best part besides the amazing taste is how simple this dinner is. By Thursday i always ready to take a break and the last thing I want to do after a long day is slave way in the kitchen. This meal doesn’t take any longer than boiling noodles, and shrimp cooks basically just as fast! Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe happy I know this can be a pretty busy weekend for some. We are looking forward to our family’s St. Patrick’s day dinner. I loooooove holidays where good food is involved, although I would say in my family that is a given at any family event!
