This particular Berry Fruit Sauce is seen here covering a fluffy piece of Birthday Cake that is celebrating one of our co-founders birthday! How great is that. We always enjoy sharing a little piece of our personal lives with you. Even though with some of it you may not ask for it or want it…
- 4 cups frozen mixed berries
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons corn starch dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water
-
In sauce pan add berries, sugar, and 1/4 cup water.
-
Cook over medium heat until berries are soft
-
Bring mixture to a simmer.
-
Gradually add corn starch/water mixture, about 1 tablespoon at a time, while continually stirring until mixture is thick like pudding. Mixture will continue to thicken as it cools.
-
Enjoy over cake such as white, yellow or angel food, or as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.
-
Mixture will keep at least a week in refridgerator
