Personal Pizzas, are your next favorite dinner go to. This recipe is a super great for when you have pretty much ran out of food/creative ideas. What is great about them is they are crazy easy to make and you can literally put anything you want on them, so that is awesome. Just raid the fridge and go crazy, I have posted a pretty basic version just to give some ideas. But really the best thing about these pizzas is that they are so versatile that you can let your family pick and choose what they want on the pizza so everyone is happy. Did I just win at dinner?
- 4 taco shells
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 orange pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dash garlic powder
- 2 Italian sausage links
- 1 bag mini peperoni
- Anything else you want!
- 1 bag mozzarella cheese shredded
-
Remove Italian sausage from its casing sauté in pan and chop it up with spatula while cooking
-
Chop vegetables of choice. Think fairly small pieces as they are going on a pizza.
-
Take your taco shell and drizzle olive oil, I use the back of a spoon to spread evenly (you don't need alot)
-
Sprinkle garlic powder evenly across the shell
-
add vegetables and/or sausage
-
cover with mozzarella cheese
-
Add pepperoni
This recipe is a little hard to explain. Simply because it is really up to you what type of ingredients to use. I recommend placing the veggies underneath the cheese layer because they tend to get a little crispy from the oven if they aren't covered.
I have also bought classic pizza sauce (tomato based) and used that if you want a traditional pizza. I am actually not a huge fan of tomato so I adore this super simple garlic version.
I have used all kinds of vegetables when making this pizza. Also I almost cried when I made these and realized I forgot to buy black olives, because is it even pizza without black olives? So right back on track, I have used broccoli and spinach, celery etc. I LOVE veggie pizzas so don’t be afraid to raid the veggie drawer and get creative. I have also done a Hawaiian pizza like pineapple and chicken with a BBQ sauce base. To die for. We love to just use simple taco shells for a thin crust pizza but if you want to switch it up and use a different shell base for a new style then be my guest. Get creative! That is what is so nice about being able to slap on anything you want, you can personalize it to match your tastes. Just keep in mind that these pizzas are CRAZY filling compared to a normal pizza from the store. So you probably really only need one. Also fun fact these pizzas got the Code name: “husband” seal of approval. He said his patented approval line the raving “you can make this again anytime”. It doesn’t sound like much but it means I nailed it!Enjoy your personal pizza that you don’t have to share with ANYONE and also will go great with a beer during Sunday football or like for dinner any other night. This easy dinner recipe will get you through the week with a perfect comfort food dinner that everyone with love.
