Chocolate Spritz

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa

Instructions

  1. In mixing bowl, add sugar and butter. Mix on high(or cream by hand) until well blended.

  2. Add egg and almond extract and mix well.

  3. Add flour and cocoa, mix until well blended, but do not over mix

  4. Put dough into cookie press and press onto clean cookie sheets

  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until edges just start to brown.

  6. Cool 2 minutes on pans and remove from pan to cool completely.  

  7. Decorate with melted white chocolate chips.
