Farmer's Market Salsa

A fresh salsa to use on everything.

Author potofgoldblog.com

Ingredients

  • 5-6 large tomatoe
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 yellow or orange bell pepper
  • 1 or 2 hot peppers of your choice
  • 6 cloves of garlic or to taste
  • 1-2 tsp salt
  • fresh cilantro optional

Instructions

  1. The ingredients and quantities in this fresh salsa are really just suggestions. One can use any variety of tomato of your choice, red, green, yellow or other sweet pepper of your choice. The hotness of this salsa depends on the hot peppers you choose and how much one adds
  2. Dice tomatoes into small dice by hand. I find one can use a food processor or chopper of choice for the remaining ingredients but the tomatoes get too crushed if you dice them in a processor. If you prefer a more "sauce like" salsa, then by all means use a food processor or chopper for the tomatoes as well. Put in large bowl
  3. Use a food processor to dice sweet peppers and onions into a coarse chop. You can also use a processor to chop the garlic and the cilantro if using.
  4. Combine these ingredients with the tomatoes.
  5. Finely dice the hot pepper of choice (without seeds for a milder result) in food processor or chopper.
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Add hot peppers to taste
  8. Chill and enjoy
