The Best Rice Crispy Bars

With just a few tweaks, you can take Rice Crispy Bars to a new level

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces marshmallows
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 10 cups rice crispy cereal

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in large microwaveable bowl. Melt for 1 minute at a time until thoroughly melted.

  2. Add marshmallows and stir until coated with butter. Microwave butter and marshmallows 1 minute at a time. Stir after each minute.  Continue until marshmallows are totally melted.

  3. Stir in ice crispies  until well combined.  Pat firmly into buttered 9x13 pan. Refrigerate until set.  Cut and enjoy

I am not often an ingredient brand snob, but I am telling you the quality of marshmallows matters in Rice Crispy Treats!!  Spend the extra few cents and by the top brand offered in your part of the world.  That means, Kraft Jet Puffed in Minnesota.
